How iPad status notifications work

  • When a device has been offline for 20 minutes, an email is sent to the notification contacts letting them know which iPad needs attention. 

  • You can select any administrator or employee in your company to receive these notifications. You can also turn these notifications off entirely.

  • iPad status notifications are enabled on a location-basis.

  • Know that an iPad is offline or that the sign-in flow is obscured before a guest notices.

  • Alert the people on your team who can resolve the issue quickly and effectively, rather than whoever happens to be nearby.

Changing your iPad status notification settings

You can disable iPad status notifications completely or change who receives these notifications.

How to change or add notification contacts

  1. Locate iPad status notifications and click “Enable.”

    1. If this is already enabled click "Edit".

  2. Add an admin by starting to type their name. The field will autofill based on

  3. Under Notification contacts, select the employee that should receive device notifications.

    1. Add an employee by typing their name.

    2. Remove an employee by clicking the X beside their name.

How to disable iPad status notifications

  1. Locate device notifications and click “Edit.”

  2. Click “Disable.”
