How to record deliveries

Learn how to record deliveries with the Envoy Deliveries mobile app.

Option 1: Recording deliveries by photo

You can log new deliveries simply by snapping a photo of the shipping label.

  1. Locate a delivery that needs to be recorded.
  2. Open the Envoy Deliveries mobile app.
  3. Tap Add delivery in the bottom menu. This will open the app’s camera screen.
  4. Position your phone so that the delivery’s shipping label is in the frame.
    • Position the recipients name in the outlined area, but capture the whole label in the photo.
  5. Tap the shutter button to capture a photo.
    • Take one photo per delivery to avoid duplicate records!
  6. (Optional) Record the next delivery by repeating the steps above on another shipping label.

Confirm all deliveries processed

If Envoy Deliveries is unable to read a recipient name for any reason, the delivery will be recorded but the notification will not be sent. It’s important to confirm all deliveries were properly processed. Here’s how:

  1. Close the camera screen by tapping the X in the top left corner.
  2. Tap Up next in the bottom menu.
  3. If any deliveries were unable to process, you will see yellow alerts on the Up next screen. Tap the alert.
  4. Tap a specific delivery that was unable to process.
  5. Tap Delivery recipient and begin typing the recipient’s name. If they are in your directly, the name will populate automatically. Tap it to select.
  6. Tap Done. This will update the delivery and send the notification to the recipient you selected.

Option 2: Manually recording deliveries

If you prefer to record deliveries without taking a photo, you can do so.

  1. Locate a delivery that needs to be logged.
  2. Open the Envoy Deliveries mobile app.
  3. Tap Add delivery in the bottom menu.
  4. Tap the pencil icon on the right.
  5. Tap “Delivery recipient,” and a keyboard pops up.
  6. Begin typing the recipient’s name, and choose from the list that appears.
  7. (Optional) Change your delivery area and/or select a carrier in the Carrier field.
  8. Tap “Add delivery.”
