About Visitors billing

In this article

Envoy Visitors is a software as a service product. To sign in visitors, you’ll need to pay for a subscription. Our plans offer different feature sets at different price points.

How Envoy billing works

You’ll need to pay for a subscription for each location, and you can subscribe on a monthly or annual basis. An annual subscription is paid upfront for a year, and overall costs 20% less than if you were to subscribe monthly for a whole year. Whether you choose to pay monthly or annually, your Envoy subscription starts the first day you pay. This date is referred to as your renewal date.

Paying for multiple locations

If planning to use Envoy in multiple offices, you can add additional locations to your account. You will need to purchase a subscription for each location. All locations under the same account must be on the same plan, payment method and billing cycle. Here’s how it works:

If you were to add a new location today, Envoy would “look up” your renewal date and calculate the amount of time between today and your renewal date. You’d be billed for that amount of time for your new location. Then, on your renewal date, you’d be billed in full for all locations.

A billing example

  • Second Street Labs subscribes to one Premium location on annual billing ($2,988 x 1 location = $2,988) on January 1, 2017. This means their renewal date is January 1.
  • On July 1, 2017, they add a second location. On that day, they’re billed for the prorated amount to cover July 1, 2017 - January 1, 2018 (~ $1,494) .
  • On January 1, 2018, they’ll be billed for two Premium annual subscriptions ($2,988 x 2 locations = $5,976). Unless they add any new locations, they will not be billed again until January 1, 2019.
