How delivery pick-up works

When an employee comes to collect their delivery, they shouldn’t just grab it and walk away. To close the loop, they’ll need to mark their delivery as picked up. Until a delivery is marked as picked up, Envoy Deliveries “thinks” it’s still in the delivery area. Every delivery that is recorded will have a pending status until it is marked as picked up.

While a delivery is pending, reminder notifications will be sent and it will appear in the “pending” section in the delivery log. Once the recipient marks the delivery as picked up, it’s no longer pending and reminder notifications stop.

  • Creates an accurate record of when the delivery was picked up.

  • Easy and flexible pick-up options, including requirement of photo and/or signature proof of pick-up.

How to pick up deliveries

Confirm pick-up via notifications

You can mark a delivery as “picked up" directly from the notification. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the delivery area and locate your delivery.

  2. Open the email, Slack, or Teams notification you received.

  3. Click “Mark as picked up.”

Note: This only works if "Secure pick-up" is turned off.

Confirm pick-up via iPad kiosk

If your company has a delivery pick-up kiosk (an iPad) in the delivery area, you can use the kiosk to mark deliveries as picked up. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the delivery area and locate your delivery.

  2. Locate the iPad kiosk in your delivery area.

  3. Begin to type your name in the Full name field, and select your name when it appears.

  4. Select the delivery or deliveries that you’re collecting.

  5. Click “Mark as picked up.”

Mark as ‘picked up’ from mobile

From the delivery log in your Envoy mobile app, follow these steps:

  1. Tap “Edit” in the top right corner.

  2. Select one or more deliveries.

  3. Find the new menu that appears at the bottom of the delivery log. Tap “Picked up.”

When using Envoy Mobile app version 4.52.0 or above, if the delivery area the package has arrived at is designated with a Signature Requirement you will see a message on the app advising that a signature is required to collect your package. In this event, please partner with an admin at your location who will be able to assist!

Secure pick-up

Secure pick-up features allow you to collect the recipient’s photo, signature—or both—at the time of pick-up. With secure pick-up features enabled, recipients no longer have the option to mark deliveries are picked-up from their notifications. They must pick them up using the iPad kiosk. Mark as ‘picked up’ from web

Available for Global, Location, and Deliveries administrators.

Administrators can manually mark deliveries as ‘picked up’ from delivery log on web or mobile.

  1. Select the delivery or deliveries you’d like to resend notifications for.

  2. Click “Mark as picked up.”
